About RealSoon
An independent guide to new homes in Cape Town
RealSoon brings Cape Town's new developments together in one place, with area guides, buying guides and the facts buyers need, all on a 3D map of the city. It is free for buyers, and we are not an estate agent or a developer.

Why RealSoon exists
Buying off-plan means deciding on a home that does not exist yet. The information you need to make that call is scattered: adverts on property portals, price lists from sales offices, planning records at the City, and the small print in a sale agreement. Most of it is written by someone who wants to sell you a unit.
RealSoon puts that information in one place and explains it plainly. We want you to be able to compare developments and areas on the facts, understand what you are signing, and know which questions to ask before you pay a deposit.

An information site
We cover new developments and off-plan homes in Cape Town. Everything on the site is free to read.
Not an agent or a developer
We do not sell property, negotiate for anyone, advise on price or handle money, and we are not party to any sale. Any deal is between you and the developer or agent.
Paid for by flat fees
Developers and agencies can claim their page for free. Paid plans add tools for a flat fee. We never charge per lead and never take a share of a sale.
Where our information comes from
We compile development information from public sources, such as developers' and agents' websites, price lists, planning records and the press, and from the developers and agencies that run their pages on RealSoon.
- Development facts show their source and a Last verified date where we have one.
- Changes that developers and agencies make to their own pages are reviewed by our team before they go live.
- Prices, availability and completion dates change, so always confirm the details with the developer or agent before you rely on them.
Nothing on RealSoon is financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Our terms of use explain the rest.
How we keep our guides accurate
Our guides work from primary sources wherever they can: SARS, Stats SA, the City of Cape Town, the regulators and the legislation itself. Every guide lists its references at the end and shows when its facts were last reviewed.
Guides on tax, bonds and the law are re-checked against primary sources after they are published, and every guide is reviewed at least once a year. Where a guide names an expert reviewer, that person checked and approved the version you are reading.
Our promises to buyers
Your details stay with us
We never pass newsletter subscribers' or followers' details to developers or agents. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Privacy policyWho runs each page is clear
When a developer or agency claims a page, the page says so. Claims need a work email on the company's own domain, and agents' Fidelity Fund Certificates are checked.
Paid plans don't buy the facts
Paid plans add tools such as an enquiry form and statistics. Whatever their plan, changes owners make to their pages are reviewed by our team before they go live.
Mistakes get fixed
If something is wrong, uses your copyrighted material or concerns your personal information, tell us and we will deal with it quickly.
